How does an NFC menu work?
The tag holds a link to your online menu. When a diner taps it with their phone, the phone offers to open the link.

Point the tag at a page you control, such as yoursite.com/menu. When the menu changes, update the page. The tags on the tables stay the same.
With Pro, the Batch Writer writes the same menu link to up to 48 tags per batch, one verified write at a time, and Batch erase clears a set one tag at a time if you change link. Use numbered mode if you want a separate link per table. The Design Studio has a Table Talkers category: add a headline, your link, brand colour and logo, turn on the QR code and NFC mark for diners whose phones have NFC off, and share it as a PNG or PDF.
Anyone with an NFC app can rewrite an unprotected tag. Pro's tag security tools add a write password or a permanent lock (both need NTAG21x tags).
Add a short line such as "Tap your phone here for the menu" and a phone icon. Place the tag where the phone naturally rests, not under a glass or a metal stand, because metal can block NFC.
Design. Deploy. Protect.
Pro is a one-time upgrade inside the NFC Ninja app, no subscription. Reading and writing tags work without Pro.
Pick an idea, build the tag in a few taps, write it, and see it verified. No account needed.

No. Most recent phones open the link from an NFC tag without an extra app.
Use both. NFC Ninja Pro's Design Studio makes a table talker with a QR code and NFC mark, so diners can tap or scan.
No. Put your menu on your website or a PDF link, and NFC Ninja writes that link to the tag.
NFC Ninja Pro's Batch Writer writes up to 48 tags per batch, checking each one by reading it back.
